At Eremea, we support our clients to Live Life Well. In the Registered Nurse role, you will: 

  1. Deliver consistent high standard of care and services within the scope of a Registered Nurse.  
  2. Travel to client’s homes and deliver care according to doctor orders and care plans.  
  3. Administer medication as prescribe by the physician. 
  4. Assess wounds and change dressings as per current best practices. 
  5. Ensure all care given to the client is safe and aligns with the quality in the NDIS standards, Aged Care Quality Standards, AHPRA standards of practice and Eremea policies and procedures.  
  6. Complete clinical assessments for our complex and high risk clients. 
  7. Develop and update care plans according to client’s health status. 
  8. Educate clients, caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the patient. 
  9. Provide suggestions for improved healthcare of our clients.  
  10. Keep abreast of developments in healthcare and attending workshops and lectures as required. 
  11. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop improved healthcare plans for clients.  
  12. Work autonomously and as a part of a team. 
  13. Contribute to the development and implementation of client centred care and clinical assessments. 
  14. Ability to manage time and priorities changing workloads. 
  15. Provide clinical guidance and support to non clinical staff. 
  16. Complete documentation requirements in accordance with ACFI, Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS standards and Eremea policies and procedures.  
  17. Review practice and documentation for quality and auditing purposes. 
  18. Always be professional, respectful and act with integrity in the workplace or in the client’s homes.  
  19. Provide feedback to the clinical team regarding clinical and system related issues and potential solutions. 
  20. Advocate and promote continuous improvement in clinical practice and pathways. 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

 
  1. Completed tertiary level qualifications in nursing.  
  2. Current full nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with no exemptions. 
  3. Minimum 4 years practicing as a Registered Nurse, including working in Aged Care or Disability preferred. 
  4. Current Drivers License and your own reliable care fully insured  
  5. Current National Police Clearance and Working With Children Check ( or willing to obtain one ) 
  6. Experience working with clients living with aged related illness or disabilities preferred
  7. Demonstrated experience in skill assessment, care planning, provision of high-quality patient care 
  8. Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new technology 
  9. Understanding of ACFI and Aged Care Standards requirements 
  10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal   
  11. Understanding of quality systems and their importance 
  12. Attention to detail and effective observational and problem-solving skills.  
  13. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families and other members of the team.  
  14. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people.  
  15. Excellent organisation skills with the ability to plan and prioritise 
  16. Worked remotely and independently.
