Looking for Support Workers for the Brunswick, VIC area

At Five Good Friends, it’s our mission to create caring communities that support people to remain in their homes and engaged in their communities for as long as possible. We provide a platform Helpers (traditionally called Carers) love, is easy to join and acts as a gateway to a great network of Members and fellow Helpers to support this mission.

We’ll help you with everything you need to succeed in growing your own business so you can offer your chosen services to the Clients (we call them Members) you wish to support in your local area. You tell us your services, set your own rate, and tell us when you are available placing you in total control of your work.

 

Member # 1:
Our Member, who lives in Brunswick West with their son and cat, is seeking a helper to visit once per week for general household cleaning tasks and on occasion, they may require a support worker to do some unaccompanied shopping or some assistance to run a few errands (collect medications from the chemist, pay bills etc).

Visits are on Mondays, for 1.5 hours, preferably in the mornings.

Cleaning tasks include cleaning the kitchen, bathroom & toilet, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, change bed linen and take out the rubbish. They also may need assistance with laundry.

Member # 2:
Our Member, who lives with their husband and daughter in Brunswick, is looking for a new on-going support worker to visit them Wednesday afternoons fortnightly for cleaning assistance.

Cleaning tasks include cleaning the kitchen, bathroom & toilet, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, change bed linen and take out the rubbish. They also may need assistance with laundry. They are looking for someone with an eye for detail and is very thorough, not shy around cleaning and being proactive.

Member # 3:
Our husband and wife members, who live with their son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons in Brunswick, are looking for a new support worker to assist on-going with shower and cleaning assistance, meal prep, laundry and shopping. Visits are 10:30am to 2:30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays fortnightly.

Cleaning tasks are spread out over the 5 week day visits. Cleaning tasks include cleaning the kitchen, bathroom & toilet, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, change bed linen and take out the rubbish.

Services will include: 

·      Domestic Assistance - e.g., cleaning, cooking, laundry

·      Personal Care - e.g., showering, dressing

·      Companionship - e.g., providing company through friendships, interests, and activities

·      Driving and Community Access - e.g., driving to appointments, shops, outings if needed
