Five Good Friends are looking for skilled and compassionate support workers to visit our member in Bundoora on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for showering assistance, hoisting, applying creams when required and a little light cleaning

We’ll help you with everything you need to succeed in growing your own business so you can offer your chosen services to the Clients (we call them Members) you wish to support in your local area. You tell us your services, set your own rate, and tell us when you are available placing you in total control of your work.
About the Opportunity
Our member, who lives in Bundoora with her husband, is looking for helpers to visit her on-going in the mornings on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 8am-9:30am for shower and cleaning assistance and hoisting.
Our member is a Incomplete Paraplegic and requires assistance to be hoisted in and out of bed morning and night. She has a manual hoist, a sling hoist and an electric wheelchair. Hoist training can be organised for you. Training involves completing a 3 hour e-learning course and getting assessed by our trainer during a visit.
Our member loves reading, watching TV and is an AFL supporter.
Services will include:

- Domestic Assistance - e.g., cleaning, cooking, laundry, shopping
- Personal Care - e.g., showering, dressing, manual handling
- Companionship - e.g., providing company through friendships, interests, and activities
We have plenty of other Members in the area needing help also! Our platform encourages you to build your business in line with your income needs, you are the boss.
What is needed to apply for this opportunity?
- Your own ABN as an Independent Contractor (Or prepared to obtain one)
- A successful National Police Check issued within the past 2.5 years OR a current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Or prepared to obtain one)
- Right to work documentation
- Smartphone to use the Five Good Friends app, Lookout.
Additional documentation may be required.
