Support Worker at Capalaba

As a support worker, you will embody our values of trustworthiness, transparency, and safety as you provide essential assistance to our clients.

Support worker 1 - General duties
Thursdays 2-4pm: This support worker would be for things like taking her shopping, making phone calls, booking appointments & tradies, and possibly some advocating. Day to day help. They should be a good communicator and able to assist the client with grocery shopping, assist by using a self service checkout, remain with Member during the whole shopping experience and to make the experience as less stressful as possible.

Support worker 2 - Hiking Guide
Monday afternoon for 2 hours (4 - 6hrs some weeks) and also Friday mornings 8am – 12pm for bushwalking and once every 5 weeks on a Friday for a daytrip to Gatton. We are looking for a support worker (Helper) who is friendly, supportive and good communicator. Someone who is laidback and into fitness (likes bushwalking) nonjudgemental, and not pushy or opinionated. Our member likes to go for hiking, tree top challenges, etc to build her fitness and confidence.Eventually the client would like this Friday shift to be a day long shift for longer hikes etc with the right person.

Important notes for the visit
Member doesn't pay for the mileage for local travel but member pays for longer trips 50c per KM and she pays the helper privately. The Gatton trips are currently a set rate of $100.
