Job description
At Five Good Friends, it’s our mission to create caring communities that support people to remain in their homes and engaged in their communities for as long as possible. We provide a platform Helpers (traditionally called Carers) love, is easy to join and acts as a gateway to a great network of Members and fellow Helpers to support this mission.

We’ll help you with everything you need to succeed in growing your own business so you can offer your chosen services to the Clients (we call them Members) you wish to support in your local area. You tell us your services, set your own rate, and tell us when you are available placing you in total control of your work.
About the Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for visits with one of our NDIS members. The member is a 22 year old young man living with autism. He lives with his family in Kew, Victoria and attends school/day program daily. These supports are an opportunity to work with the member to maintain his independence. He likes to listen to music and has a headset that he wears to listens to music in the afternoon. He also likes skateboards, riding his bike, fiddly type brain games, watch tv and snack.

The visits are;
Monday – Friday
· 2 hours in the morning
· 3 hours In the afternoon
The visits include supporting him to get ready in the morning (including showering), prepare for his day and transport to school. The afternoon visits include transport home and then completing household tasks such as general domestic activities and meal preparation.
We have plenty of other Members in the area needing help also! Our platform encourages you to build your business in line with your income needs, you are the boss.
What is needed to apply for this opportunity?
- Your own ABN as an Independent Contractor (Or prepared to obtain one)
- A successful National Police Check issued within the past 2.5 years OR a current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Or prepared to obtain one)
- Right to work documentation
- Smartphone to use the Five Good Friends app, Lookout.
Additional documentation may be required.
