Five Good Friends are looking for skilled and compassionate support workers to visit our member in Sunbury on Tuesday and Thursdays for cleaning and shopping assistance

Location: Sunbury VIC
Employment: Independent contractor
Salary: $56.50 - $56.50 per hour

We’ll help you with everything you need to succeed in growing your own business so you can offer your chosen services to the Clients (we call them Members) you wish to support in your local area. You tell us your services, set your own rate, and tell us when you are available placing you in total control of your work.

About the Opportunity
I am in search of a helper to assist our member, who is 90 years old and lives alone in Sunbury. Our member is looking for a helper who can assist with cleaning and shopping assistance / companionship on Tuesdays and Thursdays or any day as long as there is a day in between visits . She is looking for a helper to take her out on occasion to look around the shops, enjoy a coffee and provide some companionship. She is very flexible, anytime after 12pm.

Cleaning tasks include cleaning the kitchen, bathroom & toilet, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, change bed linen and take out the rubbish. She also may need assistance with laundry.

Our member was once was an artist who painted scarves and did sketching. For many years she did a lot of travelling around Australia with her husband.

Services will include:

Domestic Assistance - e.g., cleaning, cooking, laundry, shopping
Companionship - e.g., providing company through friendships, interests, and activities
Driving and Community Access - e.g., driving to appointments, shops, outings if needed

We have plenty of other Members in the area needing help also! Our platform encourages you to build your business in line with your income needs, you are the boss.

What is needed to apply for this opportunity?

Your own ABN as an Independent Contractor (Or prepared to obtain one)
A successful National Police Check issued within the past 2.5 years OR a current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Or prepared to obtain one)
Right to work documentation
Smartphone to use the Five Good Friends app, Lookout.
